Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
๐ GEO Analyzer performs all page analysis entirely within your browser. Your page content is never sent to TripleDart's servers or any third-party server.
1. Overview
GEO Analyzer ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension developed by TripleDart Digital Pvt. Ltd. ("TripleDart", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles your data.
2. Data We Collect
The Extension collects minimal data to function:
- Page content (local only): When you click "Analyze Page", the Extension reads the DOM of the active tab โ including text, headings, meta tags, and schema markup โ to compute a GEO score. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
- Google account information: If you choose to sign in with Google to use the Export to Sheets feature, the Extension receives your Google name and email address via Google OAuth 2.0. This is used only to display your name in the extension header and to attribute the exported spreadsheet to your Google account.
- Analysis results (local cache): GEO scores and rule results are cached locally in your browser using
chrome.storage.local for up to 30 minutes to avoid re-analyzing the same page. This data is stored only on your device and is automatically deleted after 30 minutes.
- Spreadsheet ID (local): After a successful export, the Google Spreadsheet ID is saved locally in
chrome.storage.local so the "Open Sheet" link persists between sessions. This data never leaves your device.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your browsing history
- We do not collect the content of pages you visit to any external server
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry
- We do not sell or share your data with any third parties
- We do not store your Google OAuth token โ it is held only in memory during your browser session
4. Google Sheets Export
When you export your GEO audit results to Google Sheets:
- The Extension uses Google OAuth 2.0 (via Chrome's
chrome.identity API) to obtain a temporary access token for the Google Sheets API
- Your analysis results (score, category scores, and rule details) are sent directly to the Google Sheets API to create a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive
- This data goes directly from your browser to Google's servers โ it does not pass through any TripleDart server
- The spreadsheet is created in your Google account and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy
5. Permissions Explained
- activeTab: To read the current page's DOM for analysis when you click "Analyze Page"
- scripting: To inject the content script that extracts page data for analysis
- storage: To cache analysis results and save your spreadsheet ID locally on your device
- identity: To authenticate with Google OAuth 2.0 for the Google Sheets export feature
- host permissions (sheets.googleapis.com, www.googleapis.com): Required to call the Google Sheets API to create and write spreadsheets, and to fetch Google account information for the sign-in display. No other host permissions are requested โ page analysis runs via the
activeTab and scripting permissions, which only grant access to the tab the user is actively viewing when they click Analyze.
6. Data Retention
- Cached analysis results are automatically deleted after 30 minutes
- Your Google Spreadsheet ID is stored locally until you clear your browser's extension data
- Google OAuth tokens are held in memory only and are not persisted to disk
7. Children's Privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
